Alex Bunbury Soccer Academy

Alex Bunbury’s highly decorated professional soccer career spanned 13 years including 11 years as a mainstay in the Canadian National team, with 65 senior team appearances and 16 goals (8th all-time).


Alex’s professional career took him to professional clubs in Canada, USA, England & Portugal. As a pioneer in breaking down barriers and being one of the marquee Canadian soccer players to breakthrough on the world soccer (football) stage, Alex’s professional career took him to professional clubs in Canada, USA, England & Portugal. He is the all-time leading goal scorer for Portuguese club C.S. Maritimo and was named the best foreign player in the Portuguese Primeira Liga during the 1994/95 season.


His professional and international success with Canada earned him recognition as the best Canadian International Player in 1993 and 1995, induction into the Hall of Fame for both the Quebec Soccer Federation (2005) and the Canadian Soccer Association (2006), as well as being named to the Canadian Best XI of the past 100 years in 2012.


Alex currently is the founder and owner of a soccer academy in Minnesota, USA.
